Place the Schematic: Move your schematic file into the worldedit/schematics folder of your Minecraft directory. 1 - Load the Schematic: In-game, execute the command //schem load "filename" to load your schematic. 2 - Paste the Schematic: Stand at the location where you want the schematic to appear and type //paste to place it in the world.
Understanding the Context
The old slabs in the schematics (and maybe some other blocks) have been added to the game under a different block ID. This is also something that I'd like to add in the future to account for (printing a list of all blocks with metadata, changing blocks/metadata on the fly, with the schematic loaded). Just put another torch down and it should work fine. Here are schematics for 24 townhouses. A townhouse is different from a countryhouse because it has a cobblestone footprint which extends to the eaves of the roof. This allows the house to be placed in a cobblestone environment with minimal effort. Not all the houses are pictured below, but the pic gives a good general idea of what's in the set.
