But the trx4 is a bit heavy imo. I snagged the axles from the one i had n sold the rest of it. The axles dont have that great of steering, but theyre beefy. If it were my choice, id get the new basecamp builders kit.

hi, new to this hobby. Good news is my wife is into it now too so better odds of improving what we have. Her rig is a Traxxas Slash 2wd (I have one too) and my crawler is a TRX4 (Literally arrives tomorrow). I have read/watched a lot of reviews and the general consensus is the steering servo... Traxxas dropped a surprise release of the first generation Nissan Pathfinder body on the full-blown TRX-4 with 2-speed transmission and remote locking differentials.

I received my Traxxas 2262 BEC kit today and based on the included instructions it appears it is intended to supplement the stock ESCs weak internal BEC. The instructions tell you to remove the ESC cable from the RX ch2 and plug the BEC lead in it's place then plug the ESC cable into the BEC.
